Meet our Providers
At Sound AcuHealth, our team's utmost goal is to point our patients' compasses toward greater health. We are able to help you achieve this by providing you exceptional, individualized care in a safe, comfortable place focused on healing.
Sound AcuHealth, originally Knead to Heal, was formed in 2004 when Nikki first graduated from Massage School and has continued to grow from her vision. Read on to see who you'll see around our office.
Nikki graduated in 2004 from Denton Massage School in Arlington, WA and has worked full-time doing bodywork since then. Her first 2.5 years were spent working in a Physical Therapy clinic focusing on injury and injury prevention which really drove the direction of her career. Nikki opened her first Massage Clinic in 2006.
Nikki has worked as the Massage Therapist for many local sports teams over the years, including the Everett Hawks, the Everett Raptors (both arena football), and the Washington Stealth (National Lacrosse League). Nikki also spent a couple seasons as the official Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist of the Everett Silvertips.
With the desire to further her education, expand her knowledge of the human body, and to preserve her hands, Nikki applied to Acupuncture School in 2013 at MiddleWay Acupuncture School in Mount Vernon, WA. Since graduation, she now has many more tools to choose from when working with patients.
Being able to help people feel better without the use of prescription drugs and her own years of personal health struggles has shaped how she approaches patient care. Adding Chinese Medicine to her education with its ability to balance out the entire body, and the results it produces, has been remarkable.
While Nikki has totally transitioned her practice over to Acupuncture she still sneaks in a bit of soft tissue work into each of her Acupuncture sessions as she finds the best results when she combines the two therapies. Nikki also utilizes supplements, Point Injection Therapy, Chinese Medicine Nutrition, stretching, analysis of labwork, and other approaches into her treatments.
In her spare time, Nikki enjoys camping, paddleboarding, bike riding, and yoga. She also enjoys her daily practices of reading, journaling, and practicing meditation in different forms. She is also currently an MBSR Teacher-in-Training. Nikki currently offers Guided Meditation sessions thru Zoom and will soon be offering Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Classes in early 2025. Lena began her training in bodywork at Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, WA in 2006. While still in massage school, she felt herself drawn to Craniosacral Therapy (CST). Over the years, that pull to CST became stronger. When finally, in 2011, she began her study of this incredibly gentle, yet powerful technique.
After becoming a certified Craniosacral Therapist through Bastyr University, Lena began her advanced studies with Etienne Peirsman, one of the most esteemed craniosacral teachers in the world. To this day she continues to deepen her knowledge and understanding of this beautiful work under his guidance.
Through her CST work, she has witnessed profound healing in many of her clients. She has seen it drastically improve the lives of people who have been debilitated by chronic pain, post-traumatic stress, immune conditions, head trauma and many other challenging medical issues. Lena is deeply honored and grateful that she gets to do this work.
Aside from her work, she enjoys daily meditation, yoga, backpacking, and trail and mountain running.
**Lena is currently open to new cash patients only. Lena has discontinued all of her insurance contracts. Please contact us and Lena will reach out with additional questions to determine those who are the best match for craniosacral therapy.
